Samantha Shapiro is a professional actress and vocalist based in New York located on Long Island. Specializing in Theatre/TV/Film, Samantha can most recently be seen as a background actress on the Original Law and Order (Season 24 | Episode 11), and is currently performing on Long Island as ‘Velma Von Tussel” in Hairspray.
Raised on Long Island, Sam was lucky to have access to Broadway as a source of inspiration in life and craft. Sam has been a performer since her talents were discovered and developed in her middle school’s music department. It all really started when she saw her first Broadway musical and realized… this is her dream. Not long thereafter, she happily performed in a production of Thoroughly Modern Millie in New York City, at the age of seventeen.
Her voice is a powerhouse— a versatile soprano that seamlessly transitions from pure, pristine legit tones to commanding, soulful belts, embodying both elegance and strength. With a radiant presence and an unmistakable intensity, Samantha captivates effortlessly.
